Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) guber candidate for the forth coming Ondo State governorship election, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has declared his readiness to reposition the state as an economic giant in Nigeria. Akeredolu disclosed that that quest led to the One to One initiative, which is a major pull of his campaign.
According to him, the One to One initiative is more of a contract between him and the people of the state. Nigeriaa2z gathered the initiative is also a way of him outlining his vision for the state, hence his campaign to every part of the state. A quick survey since the start of the campaign indicates a massive support for the initiative.
Our correspondent, on the campaign train disclosed that various people were given the opportunity to put the ACN flag bearer on the spot, with questions bothering on his specific visions for the state.
Meanwhile, a London based association, Ondo Group, has called on all candidates in the October elections to preach free and fair elections in the state, while giving thumbs up for the Akeredolu One to One initiative.
Spokes person for the group, Olu Omoogun, hinted that the eyes of the world will be on the state and called on all and sundry to ensure a free and fair poll.
“We do hope every Ondo person will shun violence on the day. We are a peace loving people. We are knowledgeable. We know what we want. We will show the rest of Nigeria, that just like in Edo State, we can go out, vote and expect a credible outcome.
“The One to One initiative should be commended. It shows we are on track. It shows we can, and should start, challenging our politicians. We, at Ondo Group, are totally for it. We are for our people, and we know anyone that comes up with that kind of idea should be commended for having the people at heart.”
