Kidnappers Abduct 36-Year-Old Woman In Benin

The police in Benin have confirmed the abduction of?a 36-year-old woman, Mrs Itohan Enogiafe, by three armed men suspected to be kidnappers.

Mr Anthony Airhuoyo, the Edo Police Command Spokesman, while confirming the incident to newsmen in Benin on Thursday, said that Enogiafe was kidnapped around 7?p.m.?on Wednesday.

He said she was abducted?at her parent’s house opposite Uyi Sawmill on Ojo St., off Oka market Road at Upper Sakpoba, Benin.

“The three armed men came on an unmarked Audi car with sophisticated weapons.

“When the police received the distress call, the Ugbeku Police Divisional Police Officer and his team rushed to the scene but before their arrival, the hoodlums had gone with the woman,’’ he added.

Airhuoyo, however, said that investigation into the incident had commenced, adding that anybody with useful information should contact the nearest police station. (NAN)
