Alhaji Muktari Ibrahim has ?assumed duty in Calabar as the new Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in charge of the Zone 6 Command of the Nigeria Police.
A statement released in Calabar and signed by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), ASP Stella Omorodion,?said Ibrahim?reported at his new post on Aug. 27, 2012.
Until his new posting, the AIG was in charge of Nigeria Police’s Zone 10 headquarters in?Sokoto.
Ibrahim appealed?to the public to?co-operate with the police in?its determination to stem the wave of criminal activities in the country.
The statement also advised all those in the zone under the command of the new AIG?to feel free to lodge their complaints about security threats.
“Also, they can offer useful information on the best way to ensure the security of lives and property and maintain law and order,’’ it added.
The statement said?Ibrahim who was born on April 5, 1957 is married with children.(NAN)
