Fight Against Corruption Will Be More Aggressive – Bamanga Tukur

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national chairman, Alhaji BamangaTukur, has pledged a more aggressive fight against corruption, adding that members of the party who had defected to different political parties will be comfortable in the party if they return.

The PDP, he said, would henceforth take the fight against corruption more seriously starting with close monitoring of performances of its members in elective offices in order to ensure better performances on their parts.

The chairman, who made this known in a message to party members on the celebration of his 77th birthday, also drummed support of party members and Nigerians in general for the government of President Goodluck Jonathan, saying it was vital for him to succeed.

He said: “For us as to be one, indivisible and indissoluble political party ruling Nigeria since 1999, it may be necessary for me to beg our members who are aggrieved and hence left the party into different strange camps to come back home. It is time to re-build Nigeria and all hands are needed to do so.
