The chairman of Kazaure local government area of Jigawa State, Dr. Saleh Yahaya Taiki, has endorsed the alleged presidential ambition of Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido.
He described Lamido as the right man for the job.
Taiki told LEADERSHIP WEEKEND that Lamido is a man of integrity that has shown his capability to lead Nigeria well.
According to him, governor Lamido has transformed Jigawa State into a centre of attraction and as such, if given the opportunity to do the same as president of Nigeria, the country will be better for it.
“Alhaji Lamido has transformed the state in virtually all sectors and has not relented in doing more, so for me, he is not just a suitable candidate but certainly the most suitable for the Presidency come 2015” he said.
“His performance in the state is very distinctive and can be seen by all and sundry, so he is a better candidate from the north that can effectively and efficiently handle the affairs of this country particularly, in this challenging period”.
He therefore called on all Nigerians to support the man, described as the man of the masses, trusted and tested in all the positions he has occupied in time past, and as the executive governor of Jigawa State.
Taiki said, the peaceful security atmosphere currently enjoyed in the state is made possible due to the inclusive governance being operated by the governor, where every stakeholder is carried along in the day-day administration of the state.
“I am appealing to well meaning Nigerians irrespective of political, regional or religious affiliations to give this man, who can be trusted, the support to lead Nigeria and give her a befitting standard as he has demonstrated in Jigawa State”.
