Jonathan Yet To Execute Single Project In Yobe – Lawmaker

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Fika/ Fune federal constituency of Yobe State, Hon. Ismaila Ahmed Gadaka (Yariman Gudi), has claimed that there is no single federal project executed in the state since President Goodluck Jonathan came into office.

He attributed the President’s alleged neglect of the state to its not being governed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The lawmaker asked the ruling party to forget the idea of having Yobe in its fold, declaring “Yobe will never be a PDP state.” In an interview with LEADERSHIP SUNDAY, Gadaka said that “there is no any on-going federal project in Yobe State. If you see any project going on in the state, it is being executed by the state government.”

He accused Jonathan of not being a leader to all Nigerians, adding that “today, it is Yobe that is neglected, tomorrow, it may be Bayelsa State, the president’s home state.”

“This is our Nigeria and we are supposed to be our brother’s keepers. This country belongs to all of us, It must be for all of us. Irrespective of our political parties, all of us must have the right to the resources of the country.”
