Bafarawa Condoles With Families Of Accident Victims

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has described?? the death of over 30 people? as a result of last Tuesday’s accident along Tangaza-Sokoto road as a calamity and charged law enforcement agents along the highways to ensure the adherence of? road safety rules.

Attahiru Bafarawa who was represented by the chairman of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) Sokoto State chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma described the accident as a huge loss to the entire state and called on the people of the area, Sokoto State and the nation to be prayerful and take the accident as an act of God.

He enjoined them to take solace on Allah as such accidents occur only with Allah’s Will.

Bafarawa said, “I salute their courage and determination of not staying indoor to die from hunger and abject poverty,? rather, they have ?taken a risk of life in order to feed their families in the best way they can. Such are commitments and responsibility that our leaders ought to appreciate and understand by providing some relief to them, more especially to the surviving victims.”

He urged the federal and state governments as well as other relevant agencies to provide relief assistance to the families of the accident victims and care for those that sustained injuries or are admitted in the hospitals.

The message of condolence was received by the District Head of? Gongonon, Alhaji Bello Ayama who thanked the former Governor and assured him that the message would be delivered to the families of the victims, stating that the people of Tangaza Local Government? are in total shock over the loss.
