Suntai: Nyame Calls For More Prayers

Former Governor of Taraba State, Rev Jolly Nyame, has called on the people of the state to continue to pray for Governor Danbaba Suntai who is currently undergoing treatment in a German hospital. It would be recalled that Governor Suntai was involved in a plane crash on October 25, 2012.

The former Governor made the plea in a media briefing in Zing, near Jalingo.

Nyame, who described the conflicting media reports about the state of health of the Governor as unfortunate, urged the people of Taraba State to earnestly pray for the Governor’s quick recovery.

‘’ So many things being said about his health is not in the best interest of the people. Life and death are in the hands of God” he added.

Jolly Nyame who had just attained the age of 57 advised the federal government to find out reasons behind the continued violence in the northern parts of the country, with a view to finding lasting solutions to it.

“I want to advice the federal government to do all it can to ascertain the reason(s) for violence in the northern parts of the country so as to find a lasting solution to it.”

The ex-Governor also expressed gratitude to the people of Taraba State for their unalloyed support during his first and second term in office, and added that he would continue to contribute his quota to the people for joining hands with him in the election of Danbaba Suntai as the Governor of Taraba State.

“I thank God for what he has done in my life through the people of Taraba State who picked me as a leader, and now that I am out of office, I pray to God to give me the power to pay them back”.
