The remains of the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) of Governor Wada Idris of Kogi State, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Idris Mohammed, were buried in Zaria yesterday.
Mohammed died in the auto crash which involved the vehicle of Governor Wada at Emi Woro village along Ajaokuta-Lokoja Road on Friday.
Speaking with LEADERSHIP SUNDAY after the funeral prayers at Hayin Ojo in Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, one of the deceased’s relations, Mr. Usman Usman, described Mohammed as a “quiet, humble and caring person.”
Usman said the death of their brother was a shock to them, adding that it was an act of God.
The 42- year-old police officer is survived by a wife, five children and his aged mother, Hajiya Amina Mohammed.
The late Mohammed was an old boy of Alhudahuda College, Zaria where he obtained the secondary school certificate and proceeded to Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, where he got the National Diploma (ND) before he enlisted into Police Academy as cadet inspector.
After his promotion to the rank of ASP, he was posted to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before he was deployed as ADC to Governor Wada eight months ago.
