Maulud: Jang Tasks Muslims On Peace, Tolerance

Plateau Governor Jonah Jang on Thursday tasked Muslims on peace, tolerance and respect for law and order as expected of true followers of the teachings of Prophet Mohammed.

This charge is contained in a good will message signed by his Director of Press Affairs, Mr James Mannok, in Jos to mark the birth of the Prophet.

“Muslims should exemplify love and respect for one another and to all humanity,’’ he said.

Jang advised Muslims to use the period to reflect on the virtues of peace, progress and development and should fully participate in building a strong united Nigeria.

The governor urged all Nigerian citizens to practice their religion in truth and in faith for a harmonious society, especially “in view of the security challenges that have befallen us’’.

He urged Muslims to use the period to pray for the Nigerian state and its leaders. (NAN)
