Man Killed In Enugu Over Land Dispute

The Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has commenced investigation into the alleged killing of one Ejike Onah in Nsukka.

According to a release made available to LEADERSHIP in Enugu by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Ebere Amaraizu, the police disclosed that the victim received several machete cuts before he died.

Amaraizu stated that the victim was allegedly attacked in his house last Sunday by yet to be identified persons over alleged destruction of parts of the house of one Ndubuisi Ugwu at Agbani Nguru Nsukka as a result of land dispute.

He disclosed that the victim became unconscious following several machete cuts inflicted on him, adding that he was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital at Nsukka for treatment before he gave up the ghost.

?Amaraizu said that the remains of the victim had been deposited at the Bishop Shanaham Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
