The special adviser also denied the reports that the governor’s aides had also vacated the Government House, stressing that Suntai was still the governor of the state.

He described? the acting governor Alhaji Garba Umar as a gentle man who was carrying everybody along in his administration while acting for his his sick boss.

“He has been a good man and we will continue to support him till his boss returns,” he said.

Giwa also noted that Mrs Suntai had not done any formal handing over as contained in the media reports.

?“In as much as Suntai remains the governor of the state, Mrs Hawa Suntai is still the first lady of the state,” he added.

He called on Tarabans to disregard the reports in some national dailies, describing them as totally false.
