NDLEA arrests 4 drug suspects in Adamawa

The Adamawa Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday announced the arrest of four drug suspects.

The Commander of the Agency, Alhaji Hassan Zungeru, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola that the suspects were arrested following an intelligence report.

“There has been a remarkable improvement in the overall performance of the Agency in the last one year leading to the arrest of the suspected drug barons,” he said.

Zungeru said that six Indian hemp farmers were also arrested with a huge seizure.

He assured that NDLEA would support government agencies and private organisations
in implementing the country’s National Drug Control Master Plan.

He commended Gov. Murtala Nyako for supporting the NDLEA in its campaign against illicit drugs.

NAN reports that NDLEA and the Adamawa
Ministry of Local Government Affairs recently organised a training-the-trainers workshop for council employees.(NAN)
