Big Brother winner weds housemate

2009 Big Brother
Africa winner Kelvin Pam tied the knots with Elizabeth Gupta- fellow
housemate on Saturday, February 26 at the International Conference
Centre Abuja.

According to him,
he proposed to Elizabeth at the ‘Ogus Babe Laugh Goes on Comedy Club’
in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. “I kept it simple, I just asked her,
‘Elizabeth will you marry me? the crowd started screaming, Say yes, say
yes, say yes and she responded in the affirmative”.

The couple met
during the 2009 edition of Big Brother Africa. Then, Kelvin said he was
attracted to Elizabeth but she made it clear to him she had never dated
a black man and that Kelvin “is too short for her”. The couple
completed their traditional marriage rites last year December in
Tanzania and was hosted by the bride’s family.

Weeks after the
release of the video for his track ‘Mr. Endowed’ featuring
international act, Snoop Dogg, award winning musician D’Banj made news
yesterday after he received a tweet from music superstar Kanye West.

From the tweet,
Kanye urged Don Jazzy- Mohit boss and D’Banj to come back to New York
as soon as possible as they still have some work to do.

The tweet,
Kanyewest: Yo@ iamdbanj and @donjazzymohits get back to NY asap there
is still work to be done”. Then his record label boss, Don Jazzy
replied “DONJAZZYMOHITS: @kanyewest yes boss. See u soon”.

While Koko master, D’Banj replied saying, “iamdbanj@kanyewest oooossssheee no worries boss”.

Mr Bigg Splash’s out with single

Mr Bigg Splash
real names Otas Batuye recently released a new single featuring King of
the Zanga crooner, Durella. The single titled ‘Ozikpalor’ has good
beats .

Mr Bigg Splash made
his debut with the single titled ‘Amaka’ which features singer Nyore.
Moving on, the Edo state born Hip-Hop artist released two mix tapes,
Edo State Hip-Hop lovers Vol.1 in 2009 and The Sexii Freestyla in 2010.
With his debut album on the works, the singer said “I am here [the
industry] to stay and I am bringing my brand and business to bear”.

Nelly Furtado to give away $1 million Gaddafi fee

Singer Nelly
Furtado said on Monday that she will give away $1 million she received
to perform in Italy for the family of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Gaddafi has been
condemned for using violence to quell a popular uprising, with the
death toll from nearly two weeks of fighting estimated by diplomats at
about 2,000.

Furtado, a Canadian
singer whose hits include ‘I’m Like a Bird’ and ‘Promiscuous’, used the
website, Twitter to disclose her plans for the $1 million. “In 2007, I
received 1 million$ from the Qaddafi clan to perform a 45 minute show
for guests at a hotel in Italy,” she wrote. “I am going to donate it”.
A spokeswoman for Furtado could not be reached to say which group
Furtado plans to designate for her donation.

Furtado first rose to fame with the 2000 album ‘Whoa, Nelly!’ She also appeared in the 2008 movie ‘Max Payne’.
