The Director of the
National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Gombe State, Ado Solomon has urged
physically-challenged persons to use the April polls to elect people
who will be ready to solve their problems. Mr Solomon, who addressed the
physically-challenged persons in Gombe on Sunday as part of NOA’s
sensitisation, said they should endeavour to use their votes to bring a
change to their situation. He said the April elections will provide them
the opportunity to elect credible leaders who are ready to listen to
their plights after years of neglect. “You have been complaining of
neglect and this is an opportunity to elect whoever you think will best
protect your interest. I am urging all of you to come out and vote on
election days. “For those of you who have to move round to solicit for
alms for survival,

I call on you to
sacrifice election days and exercise your franchise,” he advised. The
Chairman of Persons with Disability in Gombe State, Umaru Goro, thanked
the director for his advice, and gave the assurance that his members
will participate fully during the general elections.
