Sam Loco To Be Buried In October

Contrary to the earlier speculation that late Nollywood actor, Sam Loco, may be buried in Lagos, his family yesterday said that late actor would be buried in Benin City, Edo State, on October 21, 2011, in accordance with tradition.

The first son of the late actor, Mr Bismarck Nosakhare Efe, who disclosed this yesterday at a press conference, said that a 30-man committee headed by him would incorporate another committee set up by the president, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Segun Arinze. ?

Speaking at the briefing, Mr Efe corrected the mistaken report about his father’s age, saying he died at 72 and not 66.? He also said that the autopsy report was yet to be made available by the coroner.

Sam Loco, it would be recalled, died on August 7, 2011, in a hotel room in Owerri, Imo State. His corpse has been deposited at the Stella Obasanjo morgue in Benin City.

The son of the late actor also noted that his father was a native of? Benin City, and had? six children, four of them female.
He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan, the governments of Edo, Enugu and Imo states, as well as Senate President David Mark, corporate organizations, the media, the international community and the Nigerian public for their support since the demise of his father.

Meanwhile, the Ayobahan of Benin Kingdom, Chief John Adun, has donated a parcel of land at Idokpa community for his burial.
