It had the hottest ticket in New York City on Wednesday night, but there was no need for all that, because
Justin Timberlake put on a free, impromptu concert at the Southern Hospitality barbecue joint in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, after Tweeting an invitation earlier in the day.
The bar and restaurant was filled to capacity by 9 p.m. for the 11 p.m. show, and fans packed the streets outside. New York’s finest were on hand to monitor the crowd.
The 30-year-old Timberlake took the stage with the rock/hip-hop band FreeSol to perform a few new songs, including a rap ballad called ‘Don’t Give It Away.’ He also treated fans to a soulful acapella performance of ‘What Goes Around Comes Around’ and finished with another new song, that had the chorus “Your body’s like a fast car/I’ve got the keys.”
