LEADERSHIP MD, 5 Others Ordained Pastors

Managing Director of LEADERSHIP Holdings, Abraham Nda-Isaiah, and five others were yesterday in Kaduna ordained as pastors of the International Praise Cathedral Church.

Pastor Abraham Nda-Isaiah had served in various capacities of the church which include an elder and present Rector of the School of Church Growth and Practical Ministries (SOCAP) of the supernatural love ministries of the church.

Speaking shortly after the ordination of pastors, elders, deacons and deaconess of the church, the President of the Supernatural Love Ministries and Presiding Bishop of the International Praise Cathedral Church, Bishop Funbi Addo, urged them to see their ordination as a call to greater challenge and a call serve humanity and God almighty.

The bishop said, “No man takes any honour upon himself except God honours him; there is a time for everything, time for labouring and time to enjoy the fruits of your labour. You are recognised as someone that the church can depend upon, it is trust and recognition of leadership, you must be loyal and faithful to that which God has called you to do.”

Some of the bishops of the church also spoke to LEADERSHIP on the of Pastor Abraham Nda-Isaiah. Resident Bishop of the church, Bishop Calvin Antoza, described him “ as a God-fearing man, a man that loves God and a man that has shown dedication with integrity in the work that has been assigned to him.

According to him, “He has shown faithfulness in little things and that has led to his elevation. Am optimistic that not only him (Pastor Abraham) but all that have been ordained that they will all do well in their assignments.”

On her part, the Superintendent of Schools of the Supernatural Love Ministries and wife of the presiding Bishop, Bishop (Dr.) Funbi Addo, described their ordination as the ‘cap fits’, saying that “they have been tested and proven over time and the church agrees with God that it is time for their next level. So, I believe God that in this ew office they will still deliver.

“I expect them to do the works of a pastor which is what the Bible says, they are expected to meet the need of the congregation, a father, a friend and be there when people need them, and especially they need to remain connected to God because they cannot give what they don’t have.”

The bishop ,however , advised the ordained pastors not to mistake their lifting to a point where they were bigger than God but a point where they could become a channel where they could become everything that was expected of them from God, to bless the congregation,

She said, “They must remain connected to God and remain relevant to the congregation, I wish them well”.

The Presiding Bishop of the Abuja Church, and the Assistant Secretary General and Director of Churches of the Supernatural Love Ministries, Bishop Edwin Jarumai , said the ordination of the pastors was that of a responsibility and not a title but to feed the body of Christ spiritually.

He said, “My wish for them is that they will finish strong, not to fall by the way side that at the end, the one who has called them will say to them, well done faithful servant.

Mother of Pastor Abraham Nda Isaiah, Mama Nda-Isaiah, said, “I feel very great today for my son, it is difficult for you to know what your children will become in life, today it has become the wish of God for him, my prayers for him is God’s enablement, strength and ability to carry on the assignment God has placed in his hands.”

Wife of Pastor Abraham Nda-Isaiah , Mrs Namso Abraham Nda- Isaiah, who could not hide her joy and excitement said,” I feel very happy and elated, it is a fulfilment of prophecy that has gone forth concerning him, everything has been working towards this in his life and I feel glad and happy that it has come to pass.”

She expressed optimism that God who called her husband will equip him, “I trust God and I trust my husband to live up to his calling.”

Also speaking on behalf of the Nda- Isaiah’s family, the elder brother to Pastor Abraham Nda-isaiah, Mr. Samsom Nda-Isaiah, said, “ We thank God for his life, he is the very first to become a pastor in our family and we wish him well, but he needs to constantly employ the help of the Holy Spirit to be able to excel effectively.”

Fifteen deacons and deaconess, 14 elders and six pastors were ordained while one of the speakers at the AZUSA 2011 , Revd and Revd Mrs Wale Olaife from Atlanta Georgia United States, received nomination as Bishops -elect.
