USAID, MSH, Partner Gombe On Orphans, Children

United States Agency for International Development, USAID, and? Management Science for Health, MSH, partner Gombe State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, to organise? a sensitisation campaign? that would support? community based projects targeted at orphans and vulnerable children.

?The Management Science for Health? MSH, is a Non-Governmental? Organisation,? NGO,?? funded by USAID,? and? has been implementing?? policies and programmes across the world.
In Nigeria,? the NGO is? closely working with the federal? government? to? intervene in several? activities in the health sector, such HIV\AIDS etc.

?MSH, has been assisting the Nigerian government in the implementation of? accountable and acceptable leadership in the health sector, capacity building in the public institutions and civil society organisations? for approved leadership and management.

The Chief Consultant of the Community Based Support group,? Dr. Audu Muhammed Leman,? said that MSH was implementing prevention system for? treatment of diseases like AIDS? as well as relevant issues that would help the government to provide comprehensive health care delivery at about eleven states including? Gombe, Taraba, and Delta states where the operation has started.

Dr. Audu noted? that MSH has also partnered with Gombe State government through the State Ministry of Women Affairs? to implement sustainable programmes and policies which would improve the living condition of the orphans and children group.
