LG Poll: CNPP Praises Niger

The Committee of Nigerian Political Party (CNPP) has praised the conduct of the last local government election in Niger State, saying it was an improvement over previous local government elections in the state.
The CNPP chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Isah, told journalists at a press briefing after the meeting of the association in Minna yesterday that the management of security threats and election crisis? had reduced the usual cases of ballot stuffing to a minimal level in the election.
The chairman, who was reading the resolution of the meeting of the CNPP, noted that both the losers and the winners exhibited great sense of sportsmanship.
Isah said, “I must specifically commend those aggrieved but who in compliance with our counselling have approached the election petition tribunals for redress rather than resorting to violence.”
