The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has appointed Alhaji Abdulmalik Halilu Usman, as the new Gado Damasun Nupe.
Halilu, who hails from the Usman Zaki royal family in Bida , started his early education at Sacred Heart Primary School Kaduna before proceeding to Rimi College, Kaduna (former Saint John’s College).
He later attended school of Basic Studies, Zaria. Abdulmalik Halilu is a Bachelor of Technology graduate of Federal university of Technology, Minna and also holds a PGD in Management Science.
He is a project management professional and change management professional.
Abdulmalik Halilu started his working career with Northern Nigeria investment Limited (subsidiary of New Nigeria Limited) on completion of his youth service with the organisation.
He later joined Accenture, a global management consulting, outsourcing and technology firm and is currently with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board.
Abdulmalik was a key participant in the design of the Nigeria Vision 20:2020 economic transformation blueprint.
