Security, A Collective Responsibility, Says Police Chief

Both the security operatives and the general public are to blame for the current insecurity bedeviling the country, according to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Audu Abubakar, asserted this yesterday in Bauchi State during his official visit to north east states.
?

He said the visit was to assess the security situation in the region with a view to devising ways of improving security in the states.
?

Abubakar stressed that security is every body’s business and asked the general public to assist the security agents with useful information so as to fish out bad elements in the society.
?

“You should not blame the security agents alone for security problems in the country because the general public is also to blame. If people will live in peace, there will be no crises,” he noted.
