Stakeholders Back Power Product Standardisation

Stakeholders in the country’s power industry have appraised issues of standardisation in the sector and concluded that there is need for products and services to conform to international standard to rid the industry of substandard electricity power products .

Those in attendance at the recently organised seminar that took place at Oriental Hotels , Lekki in Lagos and Rock view Hotel, Abuja,?? agreed that issues of erratic power supply in the country required concerted effort from both the government and corporate organisations to effectively address the problem.

In his address, the General Manager of Somotex Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ajay Singh, said the training and seminar became necessary to strategise on ways of improving the nation’s electricity power supply.

Somotex boss remarked that Su-kam the only authorised distributor of Su-kam power products in the country was the pioneer leader of Indian’s power backup industry, adding that in a short span of few years, it had set a benchmark and raised the standards of the entire backup sectors.

According to him, “ It is Su-kam’s consistent focus on technological innovations, which has enabled us to attain this great milestone in a largely unorganised industry.

The company is today accepted as the market leader with a range of top-of-the line products based on quality, reliability and safety.
