After his marriage, the media was awash with news that he had drifted out of the radar for some time, but Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, better known as ‘St. Obi’, has come out to say he is “very much in the business and very active, despite what anyone thinks”.
Time was when the Imo State-born actor made many sit on the edge of their seats? and was the toast of more than a few producers, before the roles began to go the way of younger actors, and competition for attention got stiffer.
When asked recently why he has not appeared in any movie over such an extended period, the theatre arts graduate of the University of Jos said, “I have been doing some other things, but I am very much in the movie industry, trying to raise the bar, because, I see that we need to move the industry to a global scale. Right now, we are not at that level. That is what I have been doing underground. I have a movie which I have been working on and very soon, it will be out.”
