The natives of Gbagyi from Maitama Sabo, Maitama Tsoho, Kukwaba, Katampe and Nyikuru villages, in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), yesterday dragged the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) before an Abuja High Court over seizure of their farmland and nonpayment of compensation for the past 20 years of their forceful resettlement to Kubwa.
Lawyer to the plaintiffs, Mr. Paul Eze, is asking the court to order the FCDA to give his clients their allocation to enable them have a right and the court to determine their right which is fundamental to their living.
According to him, the plaintiffs are aggrieved because they were forcefully driven from their places of settlement and were resettled at Kubwa for over 20 years without compensation.
