The Benue State Police Command yesterday arrested eight occupants of a Toyota Bus, with registration number AE 710 KAL, at the premises of the newly reconstituted Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. The boys were fully armed with dangerous arms and amunition.
The bus load of thugs had come to the tribunal to witness the ruling of the court and had planned to cause violence if the outcome did not go in their favour.
LEADERSHIP gathered that four buses were intercepted and driven to the Benue Police Headquarters but after a thorough? search, it was discovered that three of the vehicles were not connected with the suspected ones and were released.
