Jos Bomb Blasts: STF Assures Residents Of Adequate Protection

Following the bomb blasts in Jos, the Plateau state capital, on Saturday the Operation Officer of the Special task-Force on Jos crisis (STF) Col. Joseph Iwara , has assured residents of Jos and its environs of their safety, saying the special task force? is on top of the situation.

According to him, STF have taken over the vicinities where the bomb blasts occurred.

Iwara added that the three people who sustained injuries had been treated and discharged from the University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) and Bingham University teaching Hospital in Jos.

He, however, said no arrest had been made so far, saying however, that the security agents were on the trail of the perpetrators and the manufacturers of the explosives.

The operations officer also called on residents of the city to go about their lawful business, saying that any act of lawless would not be tolerated.

Meanwhile, Plateau State government has condemned the act.
According to the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Yiljap Abraham, the security agents have uncovered unexploded device at Tina Junction scene, adding that the state government will not rest on its oars to ensure lives and property are protected.

LEADERSHIP also observed that most residents of the city for fear that there might be reprisal attacks could not attend church services as there were heavy presence of security in most parts of the tin city.
