The Independent National Electoral Commission office in Ikole, Ikole Local Govt Area of Ekiti State was yesterday thrown into confusion as materials suspected to be explosives exploded within the office and set the building on fire.
The act, it was gathered, was perpetrated by some hoodlums whose mission is yet to be ascertained.
It was gathered that the hoodlums came to the scene of the incident in a red sport utility van through Odooro Road and attacked the security agent on duty, threatening to kill him before detonating the bomb which set the office on fire.
This came just two days after the INEC conducted a rerun election to fill the seat of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II at the House of Representatives.
