The House of Representatives has mandated its joint committee on HIV/Aids,Tuberculosis and Malaria control and Donor Agencies to investigate sources and utilisation of funds of NGOs involved in HIV activities.
The inquiry is also to cover determination of the authenticity of such organisations.
This resolution was sequel to a motion moved by Hon. Joseph Kigbu who is the chairman, House committee on HIV/Aids.
Leading the debate, Kigbu noted that since the discovery of the virus 30 years back, a lot of resources has being committed to the fight against the virus but not all can be said to be genuine.
