Homosexuality Is Satanic And Barbaric

Founder and General Overseer of Restoration Assembly International, Reverend Udochi Majesty Odikanwa in this interview with RUTH TENE NATSA condemns the act of homosexuality and reveals his vision for 2012.

?

Your recent convention was with the theme: “The closing chapter of Haman”, how does that reflect on Nigeria
The closing chapter of Haman connotes conspiracy, indiscipline, envy, and a gang up. How it concerns this country is that it is time for? the chapters of all the men and women that have held this country spellbound for a long time? to be closed down and this convention has actually ushered in the moment for the total shut down of ‘Haman’ in this country, the church and our individual lives.

What do you think 2012 holds for Nigeria?
2012 is going to be mighty, it will be a high beginning from January, it is going to be a year of judgement against the enemies of the state, the enemies of God. And towards the end of February, it will be a mighty month of harvest, men and women in this country must now put fear behind them and see what is beyond them. God has started a new thing in this country called Nigeria and He will never go back, so I see a greater Nigeria in 2012, but I also see a judgment coming to sweep away all evil Hamans by 2012 in this country.

How would you react to the outcome of the Homosexual bill?
In fact, while watching David Mark on air, it was as if I should break the windscreen and embrace him. It is a wonderful bill, I give him thumbs high because a man marrying a man is bizarre, it is a taboo! The Bible predicted it in Romans 1;1. How can a man marry a man or a woman marry a woman? Anybody who relates in such a relationship is a societal nuisance and does not mean well for the country or the world at large. The person is an Antichrist and does not believe in God and so the act of lesbianism and homosexuality is an act of hell and is satanic, devilish and barbaric, it is not to be mentioned in the human race. With homosexuality, there will be no procreation, so, the bill is very appropriate.

?

How then would you? react to the withdrawal of by foreign nations over the issue?
That will not do anything, Nigeria has every capability and skill to generate a robust internal income? and if they say that, we can equally say we are not going to export fuel to their countries, so what we must do is stand our ground and insist on that. If they want to remove anything from this country, so far as we are going to satisfy the morality of a great number of the citizens of this country, I would not say to hell with your offer, but I will say let them keep what they have. For this country to be bedevilled by the act of trying to allow immorality to take root is uncalled for and unacceptable; and we must resist any country that! Supports that. Nigeria is an independent nation and no country should neo-colonise us at this stage.

Would you say yes to the removal of fuel subsidy?
So much has been said about the fuel subsidy removal and my view is that whatever will be good to this country let it be done, but if that is going to bring more hardship and spell economic doom to the citizenry, it should not come on board because I see a revolution. I see what happened in Egypt happening in Nigeria if some of these things are not corrected. The idea of Boko Haram? is going on? and nobody is talking anything about it and now, you are removing fuel subsidy, it is good if it is going to mean well for the Nigerian citizens.

But if it is going to spell doom and armed revolution for the state when it is removed, bringing untold hardship and hiking up fuel prices, then I think we will be going into anarchy, so we must avoid anything that will make the masses protest, because if the statistics show that the withdrawal of fuel subsidy will boost the economy and foreign investment, why not? The issue is that, people are usually not too keen on change? most times,? at the beginning, but after adjusting to it it is progressive, so the government should listen to the voice of the people, but if that will do us good, why not? Let everybody get there, because at the end, everybody will see the benefit of why the government is insisting that it should be done.

What is the role of the church and other religious bodies in curtailing the activities of Boko Haram?
Prayers and we solicit for peace, religious tolerance and making sure? that the message of peace is preached. Do not kill anybody because anybody you kill you must answer for it on the day of judgment. As Christians, we do not take arms against anyone, but nobody should capitalise on that to take up arms against any religion, because there is a way one is pressed to the wall and he will be forced to respond. Christians are not cowards but they can be pushed to the wall and something negative will happen, what I am saying is that the church is playing her role in the area of praying for this country and praying that these boys and their sponsors come to the table to discuss with the government, their grievances and let government be attentive and proactive to whatever they are agitating for, but if the agitations will spell doom for, the country, then they should not be entertained.

Would you describe? 2011 as a success?
In this country, it is a success in a way because we had a successful political transition from one civilian government to another but the percentage varies, if you score a 100% I will say 40%, the remaining 60% I will say is terrible because of insecurity, lack of power, lack of employment, migration. Imagine someone coming to me for prayers to travel to Iraq, it’s as bad as that, so the country has not achieved much; which I know we can by 2012. 2011 was a trying time for this country.

?

What of the church?
It has been a year of bliss we have been praying and much? souls have been won to Christ, but we are still praying, you know whatever affects the society affects the church because the church is in the society as one of the social institutions, so it has been a time of harvest. And to the church, it has also been a time of challenges, of insecurity, trying to introduce this bomb which was not there before, Prior to this time, in churches, you do not see people parking cars at a far distance or people being searched but those things have become necessary because of the political terrain we find ourselves in, but all is well and I believe 2012 is going to be wonderful and a year of judgment.
