The Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam, has asked Christians not to lose sight of the essence of Christmas and mirror themselves in the life of Jesus Christ who had to overcome challenges to bring salvation to his people.
Suswam, in a statement released by his media adviser, Cletus Akwaya, to felicitate with the people of the state on Christmas urged Christians not to allow the “merriment, celebrations and other end-of-year activities to overshadow the reason for the season.”
On the planned r emoval of fuel subsidy, Suswam said, “The planned removal of oil subsidy was being done with the best intention because of the imperative to fundamentally grow the nation’s economy in the long run. He urged the people to have faith in the sincerity and ability of government to ensure that the people are the ultimate beneficiaries of the policy.”
