6 In, 6 Out Of Eagles’ Camp

Six new players have been pencilled to hit the Super Eagles camp while six others have been decamped. Kano Pillars gangling attacker, Gambo Mohammed will lead the new six players including teammate Kabir Umar and four others to the Abuja camp. This comes as the Stephen Keshi led coaching crew begins the elimination by substitution process. Others invited are Omomo Osas of Sunshine Stars, Kaduna United duo of Papa Idris and Ishaya Daniel (already in camp) and Obinna Nwachukwu of Heartland of Owerri.

The six decamped for not measuring up include Fade Adebayo of Kaduna United, Wikki’s Ibrahim Mustapha, Markson Ojobo of Enyimba, Rangers James Okwuosa and Dolphin duo of Fortune Chukwudi and Uche Ochendo. The players have since left camp.

Meanwhile the technical crew have reached a consensus that the home-based Super Eagles can be polished enough to defeat Rwanda at home if they continue with the team spirit and training they have been going through.

Keshi who is eager to putting together a team challenged the home based side to give him reasons not to invite any foreign based professional. “Almost all the Rwandan players are home-based and their league is not better than ours so why can’t we do the same here and create a team that other countries will fear”.
