FG seeks transfer of Boko Haram linkman To Abuja

The Federal Government has requested for the immediate transfer of Alhaji Nuhu Mohammed Babawo (popularly known as “Intelligent”) to Abuja. The suspect, who was alleged to have a link a with Boko Haram, was arrested for possession of arms and ammunition by? soldiers in the early hours of Sunday in Kaduna.

LEADERSHIP had exclusively reported that the suspect was apprehended over alleged possession of arms and ammunition including military and police uniforms at his residence.

As at the time of filling this report, LEADERSHIP gathered that the suspect was yet to make any? comment regarding his alleged involvement with the Boko Haram sect.

Mohammed, a former chairman of the Petroleum Tankers Drivers in the state, was arrested by soldiers at his residence in Trikania, a suburb of Kaduna metropolis on a tip off.

LEADERSHIP authoritatively gathered that authorities in Abuja? are interested in the matter and have requested that the suspect should be transferred? to the nation’s? capital after the preliminary investigation of the case.

A security source told LEADERHIP that the suspect had a link with the Boko Haram sect and that “ a security agency?? is still investigating to unravel more information.”
