A group known as GEJ/Sambo 2011 Support Group Europe and America has said that President Goodluck Jonathan should be given the chance to cleanse the country? for positive transformation .
Chairman of the group, Chief Lambert Igboanugo said that President Jonathan should be allowed to carry out the needed changes in the downstream sector for positive development in all sectors of the economy.
He said,”If subsidy is removed, there would be new investments in the entire value chain, productivity would increase, and millions of our graduates will be employed, insecurity related to unemployment will be a thing of the past, there would be improved social programme and reduced government expenditure. What Obasanjo did for telecommunication is what Jonathan wants to do on other critical areas as the downstream sector of the oil industry, also in power, infrastructure, water, transportation, health, among others.”
On the issue of security, Igbonugo said that,? the Northern leaders should be advised to take Nigerian security seriously. “Insecurity in the country is an evil wind that blows no one any good, development can only thrive in a peaceful atmosphere,” he added.
