Military High Command Withdraws Soldiers From Lagos

There are indications that the military High Command may have bowed to pressure from Nigerians by withdrawing its personnel from the streets of Lagos.

In most of the areas visited by our correspondent in Lagos, there was noticeable absence of military personnel that were earlier stationed there by the Federal Government to maintain law and order in the wake of the recently held protests and rallies.

Rather, the men of the Lagos State Police Command were seen manning most of the areas considered as flashpoints where military men and their weapons such as armoured personnel carriers (APCs) were stationed.
