This followed the commissioning of the Vocational Training Project where the trainees will acquire training in computer appreciation, tailoring and shoe making after which they will be empowered to set up businesses for self reliance and economic emancipation.

ACCIF team leader and founder, Barrister (Mrs) Ranti B.
Daudu, in her opening remarks, described the occasion as a turning point in the collective efforts to provide a sense of belonging to persons with disabilities.

According to her, ACCIF, as a Non Governmental Organisation works to promote people with disabilities right through advocacy, direct support, capacity building, protection and research and awareness creation.

“The challenges of today and the zeal exhibited by persons with disabilities, shows that what they need is not sympathy but empathy and compassion from all of us.
