The? Governor? of Kaduna State, Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, has set up a Peace and Reconciliation Committee aimed at? resolving all the grievances that may have existed in the state.?
Inaugurating the Committee in Kaduna, the Governor said, it was geared toward the consolidation of?? peace in the state.???
Governor Patrick said the government recognises the pains the people of Kaduna State and Nigerians in general are passing through because of these challenges. He said the committee would be a platform? that would identify and genuinely proffer lasting solutions on all issues that have been contributing to recurring crises in the state.
“The horrors of past crises and the heavy toll it have exerted on our resources, communal harmony, existence, development and oneness should shake us out of our lethargy as a people so that we can direct our hopes and intentions to the coming of an era in which genuine and abiding peace will have a permanent abode in our state,” he said.
