A dare devil gang of armed bandits attacked and killed 15 business men in along Birnin Magaji Batsari road in Zamfara State.
Eye-witnesses said the businessmen were coming back home from the weekly market day in the neighbouring Batsari Local Government Area in Katsina State when the incident occurred. After allegedly carting away huge and undisclosed amount of money from the business men, the robbers were said to have went ahead to set the corpses of their victims ablaze.
This is coming barely one month after a group of gunmen killed four Policemen and two children of the same family in another attack along Gusau Magami road in the crimeproned area of Dansadau.
Armed robbery cases are on the increase in the state in spite the effort by the security agents to tackle the menace.It would be racalled that Governor Abdul Aziz Yari had to hire patrol helicopters from the force headquaters in Abuja to help combat crimes in the state.
