Enugu State Governor, Sullivan Chime, has commiserated with Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, over the death of his wife, Maryam last Monday describing it as sad and shocking.
In a condolence message, the Governor said that the sad development had come at a most inopportune time especially when the new IG was just settling down to tackle the enormous responsibilities and challenges he inherited in his new office.
He expressed regret that Maryam’s death came at a time when her husband needed her moral and spiritual support in his onerous task of tackling the current security challenges confronting the country.
Chime conveyed his sympathy to the Inspector General’s family and prayed for the soul of the deceased.
