Court Grants SERAP Leave On Stolen Public Funds

A Federal High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, has granted leave to the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), to seek information on the spending of recovered stolen public funds since 1999.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the application was granted yesterday by Justice Steven Adah, while ruling on a motion ex-parte brought before the court by SERAP.

SERAP, a rights advocacy group, has filed the suit against the Accountant-General of the Federation, Mr Jonah Otunla and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr Mohammed Adoke.
