INEC Postpones Kogi Bye Election

Following the missing of some parties' names and logo from ballot papers, the Independent National Electoral Commission on Saturday postponed the bye election for unit 3 ward in Magongo,Ogori/Magongo local government area of Kogi State.

Investigation by our correspondent revealed that the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and National Transformation Party (NTP) were all conspicuously missing in the ballot papers that were to be used for yesterday's poll.

The spokesman of the electoral umpire in the state, Ahmed Biambo Bagudu said the poll was postponed as a result of technical error,and apologised for the inconveniences it has caused those concerned.?

He confirmed that the logo of CPC, APGA and NTP were missing? from the ballot papers, saying they have to do the right thing to avoid litigation,as the parties affected had all featured in the last general election.
