Five persons including two policemen were killed? on Tuesday when suspected armed robbers? waylaid a bullion van belonging to Unity Bank along Benishiek, about 50 kilometers away from Maiduguri the Borno State capital.
It was gathered that some policemen attached to the van including a staff of the bank were killed when they were attacked around 10am yesterday.
Two of the suspected armed robbers were also reportedly killed during the attack.
A source told our reporter that the empty bullion van was on its way to Damaturu to convey money? to the Main? branch in Maiduguri when the incident happened.
