Again, Wamakko Sworn In As Sokoto Governor

Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko has been sworn in for the second time as Sokoto State governor, Wamakko was yesterday sworn in a ceremony at the Trade Fair Complex in Sokoto metroplis, along with his deputy, Barr. Muktari Shagari.

Wamakko, who emerged winner of Saturday’s governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was administered the oath of office by the state Chief Judge, Hajia Aisha Dahiru, who did same for his deputy.?

In his speech on the occasion, Governor Wamakko specifically thanked the entire people of the state for voting him into office once more and promised no not fail them.

“I solemnly pledge to discharge the responsibility you have entrusted in me faithfully and diligently for the greater good of all our people without exception.

I promise you to do my utmost to improve the content and quality of service delivery in all sectors of government,” he said.

He promised to run an open door administration, while emphasizing the need to transform the state during his second tenure in office.
