A 25-year-old married woman, Mrs Mary Haruna, who could not control her libido, especially on the last Valentine’s Day, has incurred the wrath of the law as she is to spend the next four months behind bars.
An Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada in the FCT on Monday sentenced her to prison for committing adultery against her husband.
The police prosecutor, Inspector, Modupe Musa, told the court that Haruna played a fast one on her husband, Baba Sabo, when she brought one Ebenezer Kure, 35, into their matrimonial home and had a sex romp with him.
Musa added that the incident took place on February 14 (Valentine’s Day) in the house of her husband at Abattior, Abaji, Abuja.
Ebenezer Kure and Haruna were consequently charged with trespass and adultery. But when that charge was read to them, Haruna pleaded ‘guilty’, while Kure pleaded ‘not guilty.’
In his verdict on the matter, the Judge, Alhaji Babaginda Hassan, consequently sentenced Haruna to four months imprisonment with an option of N20, 000 fine.
Hassan also directed that Kure, a resident of Gada Buke, Nassarawa, should be remanded in prison till March 21 for continuation of hearing.
