Ibori Pleads Guilty To Money Laundering In London Court

Former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori has pleaded guilty to a 10 counts bordering on money laundering in his London trial.

Ibori pleaded guilty to 7 indictments (1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, and 11) in Trial One, and 3 indictments (1, 2 and 3) in Trial Two; the V-Mobile matter.

Judge Pitts thereafter adjourned to April 16 and 17 for Chief Ibori’s sentencing, with the confiscation hearing fixed for August.

The prosecution had wanted to go ahead with the trial but Judge Pitts ruled that out.
