His love life has played out like a soap opera, but could it be possible that Eddie Murphy has finally settled down with singer Toni Braxton?
Apparently so, because the Tower Heist star, 50 , and the voice behind the anthemic Un-break My Heart, 44 , 'are seeing each other,' according to Us Weekly.
And what's more, they're both 'very into it.'
She's been separated from singer Keri Lewis since 2009, the couple were married for eight years and have sons Denim, 11, and eight-year-old Diezel together.
A spokesperson for Braxton told the magazine: 'Toni and Eddie are just friends and have been fans of each other's work for a long time.'
But their 'insider' continued: “Their kids have met and everything. It's getting very serious.”
In addition to first wife Nicole Mitchell, Murphy dated former Spice Girl Melanie Brown from 2006 to 2007.
The pair split acrimoniously and Murphy told a journalist of the Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard at the Dreamgirls film premiere that the parentage of Brown's unborn baby could not be proven until a paternity test has been performed.
Brown gave birth to daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown on Eddie Murphy's 46th birthday, 3 April 2007.
On 22 June 2007, People reported the results of a court-ordered DNA test, confirming through Brown's publicist that Murphy was indeed the father of Brown's baby. Murphy then admitted paternity and indicated that he would reimburse Brown for the cost of the pregnancy.
He also exchanged marital vows with Tracey Edmonds in 2008 in a 'symbolic' ceremony that was never made legal.
Braxton's search for love after her split from Lewis was a major plot point in the most recent season of her reality show Braxton Family Values.
