After four days of staying away from their bank accounts as a result of the weekend and two days public holiday declared by the Anambra State Government for the burial of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, customers of respective banks in Anambra State early yesterday besieged them.
LEADERSHIP observed that as early as7:30am, customers had already arrived at their respective banks, waiting for the banks’ staff to open for the day, to make transactions.
Mr. Ukachukwu Uma, a customer to a new generation bank situated at Ukwu Orji junction in Awka who spoke with our correspondent said that he was caught unawares by the declaration of a two-day holiday by the Anambra State Government.
