A 25-year-old unemployed man, Abdulrazaq Adeniyi, was on Thursday arraigned over the rape of a nine-year-old pupil.
Adeniyi is standing trial before Mrs O.A. Layinka of the Igbosere Chief Magistrates' Court, Lagos, on a one-count charge of unlawful and forceful carnal knowledge of the minor.
The prosecutor, ASP Nicholas Anieke, said that the accused committed the act on Jan. 25.
He said that the accused on the fateful day lured the victim to his house at No. 31, Anikotamo St., Lagos Island,
Anieke said that Adeniyi having succeeded in luring the minor, then forcefully and unlawfully had carnal knowledge of her.
