The? gubernatorial candidate of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Jigawa State in the 2011 general election, Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu has expressed support to the? convocation of a sovereign national conference (SNC).
Hon. Aliyu, a former lawmaker in the House of Representatives, and caretaker committee chairman of Katsina State, CPC, expressed surprise at the dissenting voices from some parts of the north over the call for? sovereign national conference noting: “It baffles me why some of us from the north are scared of sovereign national conference.”
He insisted that the only solution for Nigeria’s problems was the transfer of power to leaders who had the fear of God at heart, noting that things would not change under the current crop of leadership because, “they have no regards for the masses”.
