The Director-General of NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Nnamdi Affia, has advised corps members to uphold the ideals for which the scheme was established.
Affia gave the advice on Saturday when he visited the NYSC Orientation Camp in Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra.
Addressing the 2, 305 batch A corps members posted to the state, Affia stressed the need for them to engage in skills acquisition programmes during their service year.
?He emphasised the need for the spirit of oneness, irrespective of their different states of origin, and to establish cordial relationships with the host communities in their places of primary assignments.
Earlier, the state coordinator of the NYSC, Mr Solomon Ochim, praised the batch A corps members for the commitment shown during camp activities.
Ochim, who thanked the DG for the visit, said inadequate power supply was one of the major challenges facing the camp.
